The development strategy of 5G substrate materials is influenced by the needs to achieve high-speed and massive data transmission of mmWave, the trend of making smaller and lightweight electronic devices, multilayer PCB and relating issues of thermal conduction. ITRI Material and Chemical Research Laboratories has dedicated to the development of 5G high-frequency PCB materials. The IP portfolio includes copper foil, resin materials, copper clad laminate’s recipe, flexible print circuit materials and measurement technology to satisfy the needs for low-κ dielectric and low transmission loss with a hope to speed up the development of 5G industry.
